Hey, we're glad you made it to the website but you gotta know that there's way more to GC than this.
Here's some info that will (hopefully) bring you a bit closer to checking us out IN REAL LIFE!
(mention you came to the website first and get an extra high five!)
a few quick things you should know:
1) GC will melt your face off with way-above-average music, speakers, and special events
2) the whole point of GC is to make Jesus famous and collect people together that wanna do that
3) anyone wearing argyle will be frisked before they can enter
4) GC is open to anyone in Middle School, High School, and even those a bit into their 20s
5) even though our main gathering is on Wednesdays (7pm to be exact) there's more to GC than 1 night! (get a map here)
6) GC is the youth ministry of Great Falls Christian Center (check it out at www.gfcconline.com)
FAQs (FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS)
1) CAN I BRING MY CAT? no. please don't ever bring your cat or any other pet. that's ridiculous. this is a thing for humans.
2) WHAT'S GC LOOK LIKE ON AN AVERAGE WEDNESDAY NIGHT? pretty much always something different. we always have music but almost everything else is up for grabs. we do hear a lot of great speaking (preaching is what we call it - cause it's not just some guy's random thoughts - Pastor Nate preaches most often and helps us understand the Bible in a humorous, interesting and inspirational way). besides that we've been known to play games, spend time in prayer, have meals together, watch some pretty sweet videos or dramas our students have put together, stage massive group contests, and pretty much anything else that will merge a desire for God and the interactive mind of a teenager in the 21st Century.
3) WILL I SEE ANYONE I KNOW? there's a pretty good chance of that. GC has students from every middle shool or high school in town. if you don't see anyone you know, it won't be long before you meet a few - we're a friendly bunch.
4) HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THAT MOVIE WITH THE GUY THAT TURNS INTO A CHICKEN? no. but it sounds pretty good.
5) ARE YOU GONNA EMBARRASS ME WHEN I COME VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME? no. at least we won't try to. there's always people there for the 1st time so you're not gonna stick out or anything. There are a couple people that hang by the doors that will know you're new (cause we ask them to figure that stuff out) and will ask you to sign up on a piece of paper. in exchange you get some cool stuff from us and we try to keep you informed of what's going on.
6) I'M NOT A CHRISTIAN OR ANYTHING. um okay. that's not really a question but you won't get kicked out if that's what you're wondering.
to be honest, we're going to be praying that you meet Jesus for real and choose to follow Him. we're going to be praying that you experience His forgiveness
and love because your life will always be empty without it. we will never try to hurt, embarrass, or debate with you because Jesus wouldn't either.
we will try to love you and you will always hear the truth according to the Bible when you are with us.
and if you never change your beliefs YOU WILL STILL BE WELCOME AND LOVED.
7) I'M PRETTY SERIOUS ABOUT GETTING MORE SERIOUS ABOUT GOD. CAN YOU HELP ME? wow. you sound pretty serious - but yes!
even though we run things in a way that anyone would feel welcome in the mix of activities, the leaders of GC are all about
going deeper with God when students want that. you definitely want to get into a kadre, serve in a ministry, start sharing your faith and hook up
with a mentor that will help you with all of that. click here to start getting more information - but the best approach is to talk to a GC leader in person.
8) ARE THESE REALLY QUESTIONS OTHER PEOPLE ASKED? no. we just came up with these as we were putting together stuff for the website.
